In celebration of its annual Toyotathon sales event, Toyota took to four cities including Santa Monica, Miami, Chicago, and New York City to display a festive Pop-up Experience. This engagement allowed Toyota to interact with consumers in a socially-distanced manner during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continue to build brand awareness through unique and memorable experiences.
Each zone within the pop-up was designed around the concept of a storybook, with original illustrations and props curated to tell holiday stories of best-selling vehicles like Camry, Highlander, Tacoma, and more.

The Toyota Pop-up Experience visual identity system was developed to create an exciting and joyous feel that is brightly colored and dynamic while maintaining the core identity of the corporate Toyota brand. A variety of brand touchpoints included custom illustrations, scalable logos, patterning, wayfinding, physical props, consumer giveaways, photo ops, window decals, and digital media.
